Ukraine Heritage Day in the Senate of Canada

Yesterday, September 24th, for the first time in history, the Senate of Canada hosted Ukraine Heritage Day!

Thanks to the collaboration of Senator Stan Kutcher, Senator Donna Dasko, and Senator Rebecca Patterson, together with the UCC National - Ukrainian Canadian Congress

and our generous partner and sponsor MEEST Canada, Ukrainian culture shone at the heart of Ottawa.

The Senate stage came alive with performances by:

Svitanok Ukrainian Dance Society

Bandura artist Tetyana Navolska

Ottawa Ukrainian Children's Choir

Whose performances carried warmth, hope, and pride!

Special thanks to:

Embassy of Canada in Embassy of Ukraine in Canada / Посольство України в Канаді

Marina Shum– for incredible photography (more to come!)

@dyktorpavlov.ua

Gala Darkina & Mark Zubriy – for being our wonderful bartenders

Duke Fine Foods – for the delicious food and wine

And to all the volunteers who helped make this remarkable evening possible.

We were also delighted to welcome guests from Toronto who joined us for this historic moment.

Together, we showed once again that Ukrainian culture is alive, vibrant, and inspiring in Canada!
