Ukrainian Pysanka Workshops

Join us for a delightful and hands-on cultural experience as we explore the art of Ukrainian Pysanka - traditional egg decorating!

March 22 - 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Beginner level) and 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Beginner and Intermediate levels)

March 29 - 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Beginner and Intermediate levels) and 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Beginner level)

DETAILS:

Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you will learn the ancient wax-resistent teschnique and symbolism behind the intricate designs and vibrant colors of these unique eggs. These workshops are suitable for the following skill levels:

Beginners: introduction to Ukrainian pysanka (Easter egg) writing- materials- wax-resist process- basic divisions and designs. No previous experience needed.

Intermediate: previous experience with pysanky writing- improve lines- more complex divisions- dyeing techniques. Some previous experience needed.

All materials will be provided.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early! All participants will be entered into a draw for a $ 25 pysanka kit.
