The Danyliw Foundation and the Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Ottawa
are inviting the general public to attend the 20th anniversary of the Danyliw Seminar
devoted to Ukraine at War.

The three-day event (September 24-26) will bring together 30 international guests, a great many from Ukraine. The Seminar remains the largest annual in-person academic conference on Ukraine outside of Ukraine.

The Seminar will feature a new documentary on the role of Canadian Ukrainians in the
referendum for Ukrainian independence in 1991 (Canada, 8, with director Anna
Palenchuk in attendance, as well as former MP Borys Wrzesnewskyj, as well three new
books.

Topics addressed in presentations will range from strategic warfare, occupied territories,
the war since 2014, identity and language, civilians in war, Maidan, politics and war, and
history legacy of the war.

An opening ceremony and reception will be held Thursday September 24 in FSS 4007
